New spring collection from Airdeje

The new spring 2009 collection from AirdeJe just arrived on Comnptoir d'enfance.

They have a French perfect chic and retro style. With retro and folkloric inspirations, a touch of boheme with a clean contemporary look, Airdeje has found its place in Comptoir d’enfance universe.

Airdeje offers a new approach to children’s decoration and nightwear design with a thought for travel, detail in the cuts, colour mixes and refined finitions.

Parisian treasures

To continue with the great editions de Paris publisher, two new books: one on Parisian houses ('Les maisons des Parisiens") and the second one on atelier LZC.
In the first one, you will travel in the pages shown above, in Parisian houses... of artists, designers, such as the great Fifi Mandirac, and more.


The second book will make you discover the great universe of Atelier lZC in their Parisian workshop.
The French design studio Atelier LZC has been created in 2001 by three stylists. Very famous in France for their collaboration to French luxury brands, they create object design, textile design, wall decals, illustrations. hanging ornaments, hand-made screenprints and stationery, available on Comptoir d'enfance.

Girls'interiors in Paris

A new book from the fabulous Les editions de Paris has been published. The theme is just perfect for me: "Deco girly in Paris".
You will find many decors from our great French designers : wall decals by Les invasions ephemeres, the colorful cushions from Petit Pan...
I love these retro-bohemian styles, the colors and little details typically from Paris interiors.

Bonton, the trendy concept store

The Bonton online shop has a new design... enjoy your visit !
This parisian store is from the brand of the well known Bonpoint with a modern style. You can find furniture, accessories and a line of great clothes.
For its new website, Bonton offers great pictures and atmopsheres from its parisian shop. A great retro-vintage style that we already enjoyed in the Parisian apartment of her owner Irene Cohen.

Petit Pan at home

I found today in one of my favorite decoration book, Children bedrooms in Paris, the bedroom of Petit Pan designers'kids.



Emile, Theo and Pablo enjoy colorful bedrooms. Thanks to their parents, designers of the well known French brand, they play and live in a retro bohemian atmosphere. Their father, Pan, imports from the workshop of his father in China, beautiful kites, cushions and baby blankets available on Comptoir d'enfance.
"Chambre d'enfant a Paris", Paris, only in japanese... unfortunately !

Petit Pan in French Elle

The cute cushions from Petit Pan decorate a crib in the French Elle magazine. The journalists only shopped good design and quality products for small prices for a kid's bedroom.
Other good idea from this French atmosphere: the carpet from Ikea for a sweet, cozy place !

New wall decals from Mimilou

Mimi'lou has created new stickers for spring and for our pleasure!

When I have a look at all these atmospheres I have only one regret . that they don't deliver in USA !

The cozy Home of Antik Batik designer

The designer of Antik Batik, Gabriella Cortese, does not only draw sublime tunics and scarves with ethnic inspiration.
She is also passionate about interior decoration. I had already discovered the bedroom of his son. Here is the visit of her parisian house posted on the site of French magazine Elle Deco.

Her idea for lighting? no lighting from the ceiling but "Expanding light sources. In my living room / dining room, in addition to six lamps around the room, I put a lot of small lights on all the furniture (drawers, fireplace , library ...)".
Her only concession, and we understand her, has been "a paper lamp by Noguchi, put one meter above the table in the dining room, to give a warm atmosphere."

A warm atmosphere that we also find in her bedroom. Because if she chose to leave the living room without curtains so that the light enters the maximum, she made an accumulation of curtains in her bedroom: "one in silk taffeta, another thick cotton and a third in silk tulle . This gives the character and a cozy ambience. "

But my favorite room of the house remains the stairwell and the suspensions from Tom Dixon. "We have, hanging from the ceiling, twelve suspensions at different heights." She previously made a test with balloons.

What makes the atmosphere of a place for the designer? "The personal, not necessarily beautiful, but warm stuff like a piece of furniture from my grandmother (in which she put all of her beauty products), a large photo of the ancestors of my husband raised over the bathtub in the bathroom ... The memories of family bring a soul to the house. "
I just hope one thing: that she, one day, design also products for our interiors!

Some painting, waiting for Spring!

The February issue of French Maison magazine has visited some child rooms colorful... exactly what I needed before spring !
Above in a Parisian loft the parents have created a little cozy bedroom with a cute vintage crib with linens from Petit Pan, hand made animals and a little library already full of great french books.
Half of the wall is painted in red for the joy of the little owner of the room!

In the South of France, the parents of 3 did not hesitate to mix and match pink and red, grey and blue, grey and green... each bedroom has its own colors!
Another idea: don't hesitate to paint basics from the big Swedish company. It will customize then and personalize each bedroom !

To finish the wall decor, a light garland from Tse et Tse above, or a big wall decal below and you're done!
